You received an email from Youtrust and would like to unsubscribe. This page explains where the email came from, why unsubscribing is not possible, and how you can limit the number of emails you receive or report a suspicious email.
Where did this email come from?
You received this email because a person or organisation sent you a document to sign, approve or view via Youtrust.
Youtrust is the electronic signature platform used by this sender. We did not collect your email address. The sender provided it to us solely so that we could send you their document.
The sender's name, meaning the person or organisation that initiated the invitation, appears in the email.
Why is there no unsubscribe link?
The emails you receive from Youtrust are not marketing communications. They are not newsletters, commercial offers or messages sent to a mailing list. There is therefore no subscription that you can unsubscribe from.
Each email is triggered by a specific action related to a matter that concerns you:
an invitation to sign a document;
a reminder sent by the sender;
a security code required to sign;
a copy of your signed document.
Unsubscribing would mean no longer receiving the document you need to sign or the security code required to sign it. You would no longer be able to complete the process, and the sender would have no other way to contact you.
However, if an email seems unusual, you can use the "Report this email" link at the bottom of each of our emails. This is the channel we recommend, and we explain why below.
Which Youtrust emails will I receive?
Sent when | |
Invitation to sign | A sender sends you a document |
Reminder | The sender follows up with you manually or according to the frequency they configured |
Security code | You start signing a document |
Signed document | The signing process is complete |
Information about the matter | An event changes the matter, such as a refusal, cancellation or expiry |
Once you have signed or refused your document, you will not receive any further emails about this matter.
I receive too many reminders. What can I do?
Reminders are entirely controlled by the sender. The sender chooses their frequency and number, or follows up with you manually. Youtrust does not send reminders on its own initiative.
To stop receiving reminders:
process the document by signing or refusing it. The matter will be closed and the reminders will stop;
or contact the sender directly. They can adjust the reminders or cancel their invitation;
if the reminders seem abusive, report them to us using the link at the bottom of the email, selecting the reason "inappropriate content".
Are you a sender and would like to adjust the frequency of your reminders? See Send reminders to your recipients.
This email seems suspicious. How can I report it?
Even a legitimate document can be unexpected. Before taking any action:
check the sender's name in the email and contact them directly if you do not recognise them;
remember that Youtrust will never ask you by email for a password, payment method or bank details.
If you have any doubts, use the "Report this email" link at the bottom of each of our emails. It opens a secure form that is already linked to the relevant matter. You only need to select the reason for your report.
I do not know the sender
The content is inappropriate
I suspect fraud
I am not the right recipient
This is the fastest and most reliable way to alert us. We know exactly which message is involved and can take action with the sender if our services are misused.
Why shouldn't I simply mark the email as spam?
The "Spam" or "Junk" button in your email service does not alert us. It only tells your email provider that you did not expect the email. We do not receive the report or the reason, so we have no way to identify the sender involved or take action.
This can also have a side effect for you. Your email service may block future emails from us, including emails you are expecting, such as a security code or a copy of your signed document.
Always use the "Report this email" link instead. It is the only channel that allows us to investigate misuse.
I clicked "Unsubscribe" and no longer receive anything
Some email services, such as Gmail and Outlook, automatically add an unsubscribe link next to the sender's name. A single click can block all our emails with that provider, including emails you are expecting. Marking our emails as spam has the same effect.
If you no longer receive any emails from Youtrust, contact our support team and provide the relevant email address. We will remove it from our blocklist.
If you have not clicked this link or marked our emails as spam and an email still does not arrive, see I am not receiving Youtrust email notifications.
What about my personal data?
As an external signer, your data was provided by the organisation using Youtrust for its signing process. Youtrust acts as a data processor in this context. We are therefore not authorised to handle your data-rights requests, which must be addressed directly to that organisation.
