Prerequisites
To use the verifications included with your plan, you need:
A Pro, Plus or Scale plan
The API activated in production for your organization
An active (non-trial) subscription
Only Owners or admins have access and test verifications.
ℹ️ Note: If your Yousign subscription is itself in a trial period, no verifications are included until your subscription becomes active.
What is included
Each verification type has its own allowance, counted separately:
Verification | Tests included |
Image Identit Verification | 5 |
Bank account IBAN Verification | 5 |
Company registry — France | 2 |
Company registry — Germany | 2 |
Company registry — Italy | 2 |
These tests have no expiry date. They remain available until you use them, or until you purchase the matching add-on.
Run a verification
Open Verify in the left-hand menu, then select Verifications.
Click New verification at the top right of the page.
Select a verification type: Identity document, Company or Bank account.
Choose the Workspace the verification belongs to. Only members of that workspace will be able to see the result.
Fill in the fields for the verification you selected, then submit.
Your verification opens on its own page and shows Pending while it runs. Results usually arrive within seconds. Once complete, the page shows the result, the reasons behind it, and the data that was read.
For what each verification checks and what the results mean, see:
How does test credit consumption work ?
A test is counted only when a verification reaches a conclusion. When a verification cannot be completed, it costs you nothing.
Result | Identity document | Company registry | Bank account |
Verified | 1 test | 1 test | 1 test |
Failed | 1 test | Free | 1 test |
Inconclusive | Free | Free | Free |
A Failed company registry verification is never counted, because a company that cannot be found in the registry is a legitimate answer rather than a completed check.
Tests are counted per organization, not per workspace or per user. A verification run by a colleague in another workspace draws on the same allowance as yours.
ℹ️ Note: Verifications you run from the API with a production key also draw on the same allowance. Verifications run with a sandbox key never count.
When you have used all your tests
Once an allowance reaches zero, that verification type shows a Limit reached badge and can no longer be selected. The other verification types stay available until their own allowance runs out.
To keep verifying, click Buy now on the callout to open the matching add-on in the Verify catalogue.
Verifications you already ran stay accessible. You can still open them, review the results and download the audit trail after your allowance is spent.
After you buy an add-on
When you purchase a Verify add-on, the included tests for that verification type stop being available, and the add-on takes over. The verification type then shows an API only badge in the App, and you run it through the API instead.
Your other verification types are unaffected — buying the identity document add-on does not change your included company or bank account tests.
ℹ️ Note: Included tests do not return if you later cancel the add-on.
Find your verifications
Open Verify, then Verifications, to see everything run in your workspaces, whether it was created in the App or through the API.
The list is organised in tabs by verification type and shows the name, the result, and the date. Click a row, then View details to open the full result.
You only see verifications from workspaces you belong to.
Frequently asked questions
Do my included tests expire?
No. There is no end date. They stay available until you use them or until you buy the matching add-on.
Are my tests renewed every month?
No. The allowance is granted once and is not topped up.
Does a failed verification use up a test?
For identity document and bank account verifications, yes — a Failed result is a completed check. For company registry verifications, no. An Inconclusive result is never counted, for any verification type.
Can I see how many tests I have left?
Yes. Open Verify, then Verifications, then New verification. Each verification type in the selector shows its remaining tests.
My colleague used tests I did not know about. Why?
The allowance is shared across your whole organization, including verifications run through the API in production.
Can I use my included tests from the API?
Yes, with a production key. Sandbox keys never draw on your allowance.
Why can I not select a verification type?
Either its allowance is spent — it shows Limit reached — or your organization already owns that add-on, in which case it shows API only and runs through the API.
Can I delete a verification?
No. Verifications are kept for audit purposes. Personal data from identity document and company verifications is automatically removed after the retention period.
